MC Mong Lambasted for Openly Smoking on 1N2D

MC Mong had previously said on “1N2D” that he would stop himself from smoking. But this time, he was not smoking outdoors but inside their mini bus which has made fans of MC Mong feeling really disappointed with his actions.

Following the program broadcast, many viewers flooded the official website and left messages, saying that they were mightily disappointed with MC Mong for not keeping his promise and also rebuking the producers of “1N2D” for not taking the appropriate measures in editing this away instead of showing it.

Viewers felt that this smoking scene would have an undesirable effect on underaged children and viewers and MC Mong was a bad role model. Besides, he was smoking in an enclosed area inside the mini bus which would definitely mean that the other members of “1N2D” were taking in second-hand smoke.

At the same time, research have showed that smoking scenes that appear on television has an adverse effect of boosting the number of people taking up smoking. That’s why many tv stations tend to edit smoking scenes away from their shows. Another main talking point is that MC Mong had once expressed that he would quit smoking on a SBS program. I blame the “1N2D” PDs.
