Park Jin Young "WonderGirls advertising v hit songs o. Rain advertising ^ hit songs X”

Park Jin Young had an interview which has caused much controversy regarding singer Rain.

Park Jin Young said on an interview with male magazine GQ, "The earnings made from WonderGirls' music makes up half of all earnings. Rain has made 1/3 of the earnings from his music."

He then carried on with, "Costs for advertising for WonderGirls is still rather low, but for Rain, although costs for advertising is high, he didn't have any hit songs."

"I didn't think about making money with Rain's music. The only way to it is to make Rain a style icon."

"Right now, WonderGirls is in centre-stage of the music scene. In this 8 weeks, they had won first place on Melon and has proved to be popular. They had pulled in a lot of earnings with their music. Sale of CD makes up 1/5 of the earnings, the remaining is from computer and handphone contents." he explained.

He also added, "Even though we have the number 1 singers in Korea, I still cannot make all the JYP staff rich men. I'm so sorry."

Being sorry to the staff of JYP, is Park Jin Young saying that it is getting hard to make money with music?
