Is Krock the next trend?
Is rock going to take over the Kpop scene in the next generation?
(Perhaps, but I'm just glad there's some diversication in the generic pop scene.)
Byul recently released her mini-album "Like a Star" and transformed into a rock star (pun intended, Byul in korean means star). Her title song "Bikini" is rock rendition of Pachabel's "Cannon in D" (my favorite classical piece!) that is perfect for summer. In the MV "Bikini", Byul wishes she was in paradise...
Currently her rock song is the #1 background song on UCC (Korea's version of Youtube) and was able to dethrone Uhm Jung Hwa and Lee Hyori, who dominated for months.
I LOVE this song!

Oh i hope so. Rock is amazing. I think the Korean industry is in some need of rock because right now, it's like you either expect a ballad, a bubblegum pop song or a hip-hop/R&B song.
I guess you can also take into consideration that Kim Hyun Jung's new album goes towards a modern rock feel instead of her usual dance.

Re: Is Krock the next trend?
Lol I read the title as Crock, slang for Bull. XDDD
Dude if only the underground music scene with all the awesome experimental music would get a more look-see then K-Music would be 2 million times better.
I'm a fan of all genres of music and my Itunes can prove it, but truly the mainstream is getting seriously boring so LETS SHAKE IT UP! XD
Thanks Byul for trying something, I think shes unbelievably cute for sure. :3
The song reminds me of Pop JRock to be honest
Gracias dear soyboy for the sharing ^^

Not really rock....
i don't really see how they can call this rock.
not that i'm complaining about the song, or her--- but this is about as much of a rock song as super junior's "don't don"
just call it what it IS--- pop!!!!
anyone who is really in the rock industry would cringe listening to this.

Re: Is Krock the next trend?
The song was good...
whether it was rock or not, k-ent would be quite fun if rock was also popular and big like pop.

The word "rock" is assocaiated nowadays with anything with drums and a guitar or bass~~ Its quite sad ne?
Its what they call Pop Rock, since its not just pop.
Im just happy that its not full out bubblegum pop, and that people are starting to experiment. I just hope its not truly a "trend" because then they suck the life out of another genre and after a little while it becomes pretentious. O_O
nevertheless if FT Island can be called rock~~ *whistles*
