Seo Tae-ji to Go Classical at Seoul Gig
Veteran pop star Seo Tae-ji, whose new album is about to be released, is to give a concert with the acclaimed classical conductor and composer Tolga Kashif. The concert with a big-name British orchestra titled “2008 Seo Tae-ji Symphony” is at the World Cup Stadium in Sangam-dong, Seoul, on Sept. 27.
Kashif has conducted numerous world-class orchestras such as the London Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic orchestras, and worked as an arranger and producer for bestselling albums like “The Queen Symphony.” He will be the music director at the concert, which features his arrangement of Seo’s music.
Seo Tae Ji Company said Seo is putting the finishing touches to a new album. Details of the concert have been discussed, and Seo and Kashif are working on the program. “It will satisfy everyone, not only classical music fans and Seo Tae-ji maniacs but music fans in general, giving them a chance to enjoy and be inspired,” the company claims.
