Lee Hyori criticized for style plagiarism? / Lee Hyori comeback performance on 12th on Music Core

With the countdown to her comeback, Lee Hyori is involved in a case of possible style plagiarism and Hyori has denied it.

Lately, Lee Hyori's 3rd album jacket filming was circulated on the internet. It was said that, "With the smoky makeup, big hairdo, thick lipstick makeup etc, she looks like England's pop singer Amy Winehouse. Isn't this a style plagiarism?"

A representative of Lee Hyori has said," The album jacket has not been revealed yet, so are her promoting activities. It is ridiculous to say that this is plagiarism. The circulated album jacket is just one part of the album jacket. This does not represents her whole concept."

The representative also said, "Hyori has been wearing smoky makeup from the start, it is not a style that belongs to any particular person. We request for everyone to judge only after the album together with its posters and teaser video are revealed."

On the other hand, Lee Hyori will be coming back with a 3rd album after her second album in 2006 "Dark Angel" this July.

Lee Hyori will be having her comeback performance on 12th July on MBC Music Core.

Hyori will release her 3rd comeback album after 2 years in mid-July, and will sing her new song on MuCore on 12th July. Hyori has seemed confident in her new album and her comeback album is much anticipated by fans.
