China Doesn't like Tiffany!

As if insulting Korea and her seniors in the industry was not enough!
Tiffany's careless mouth caused another round of shame for SNSD this time in China!
LSM really needs to be proud of this particular number!

The Chinese boycott of SNSD performance in SMTOWN Shanghai, China is going around like a wild fire! There are many reasons behind the boycott (aside from their leader calling Taiwan a country and all the rumors of mistreating, even insulting ZLY during their training days for being a Chinese) but one of which is the one Tiffany committed!




Apparently Tiffany during one of the episodes of SSGB when the male MC was talking about the terrible Sichuan earthquake that took the life of thousands and thousands of people, Tiffany started giggling. apparently in her "full" functioning brain she found out a rhyme between "쓰촨성" (Sichuansong) and " 찬성이" (ChanSongee) a name of 2PM member of the boy group!



Remembering the Tiffany's remark was enough to perform the full scale Black out during SNSD performances that night ... and all those X signs were just a visible proof of how disgusted Chinese are of this group!

at some event like this, where it can easily effect the way a country will view another.... she should have been careful.

But ignoring that, the Sichuan Earthquake isn't some light, like-any-other-earthquake incident, and in front of hundreds of thousands of people, it's absolutely not something that we can take lightly.
Think of the hurt feelings of those people!

If we just shrug it, than we should just let her do what she wants and insult everyone? and think it's okay for her to say because thats her personality?

i agree with him on this one. who cares? people will have their own opinions on things. you can either take it personally or just not care. cuz obviously the person is ignorant if they want to joke or make an insulting comment about an earthquake.

A 'Public figure' as a host of a show is different than Britney going out with a papparazzo and buying pregnancy tests. Public figures under the public spotlight, especially those being looked up to by children are scrutinised more than others. These people were trained to hold their tongue, words can end your career you know.

Korea and the US are very different, dont use that ignorant remark.

Just think of Katrina if you cant take your mind out of the States, wouldnt you be disgusted and insulted if a foreign artist laughs while someone is expressing their sympathies to the lost lives and people suffering? And then comes to your country to perform? I wouldnt pay money to see that idiot myself, and if I had to go to support someone I liked, then goodness knows I wouldnt cheer.

I must say though that there must be some confusion. This happened during a recording of SSGB. Tiffanys old show on Mnet. That insulted the Chinese and they were never apologised to.

^^ lol no this is old. This is a part of the reasons that they were boycotted in China. The Chinese are very nationalistic, and I mean sorry, but what Tiffany did was uncalled for and seriously stupid. This was actually BEFORE DC.

Imagine, this was in the hearts of the Chinese all this time, anger growing as the incident was just shrugged off. People say they apologised for this incident, but saying "Sorry we did bad" is not sincere and was not addressed to anyone in particular, besides of course the fans.

May 12th is the date of the Earthquake and people are still suffering to this day. Seriously, imagine someone doing something like this and not even acknowledging that they made that mistake. And then you have to attend a concert and they perform for a heck of a long time while your National artist is put aside.

Being shunned about a national tragedy that still pains you is incredibly insulting. So yes the Chinese must have waited for a long time to show their feelings of pain and disapproval. DC must have been the inspiration. Thank God they did it peacefully, because seriously noone wants anything violent.

my point exactly. you can't do anything. she'll still be stupid and she'll still say mean shit. so even if you could get her to atone for anything it wouldn't matter because she'll still do it again. so ignoring it is the only thing we can do, till they decide that she's stupid and needs to be removed from teh group and banned from doing anything public.
