Baek Ji Young’s vocal cord surgery a success, and she still has her husky voice

Baek Ji Young underwent an operation to remove a cyst in her vocal cord recently. And she still has her husky voice.

Baek Ji Young underwent the operation at a specialist hospital on 4th February. She had since received follow-up treatment from her home. She has been resting for about 5 months and will be going on her activities soon.

Baek Ji Young was diagnosed with vocal cord cyst last year, and made many worried about her trademark husky voice. She also cancelled all year-end special performances. As it seems that it would be dangerous if she do not remove the cyst, she underwent an operation to remove it.

After her operation, her company worries that her voice has become much thinner than before, and that after so much time has passed, her trademark husky voice may be lost.

WS Entertainment representative said, “At first, even Baek Ji Young herself was worried since her voice has become thinner. But after some time, her voice has returned to its former condition, and she can sing “I don’t love you” and “I only need one love” just like before. She will start preparing for her new album next month and get ready for her comeback in Autumn”
