Shocking news!!! Another Korean Entertainer found dead....

Korean entertainer Ahn Jae Hwan (36) decomposed body was discovered at 9.20am today inside his van. Police have classified this as suicide and are now investigating the actual motives that led to him taking this unfortunate path.

Ahn Jae Hwan and wife Jung Sun Hee was one of the famous “celebrity couples” in the Korean entertainment industry and had just tied the knot last November after dating for just three months. His suicide is speculated to have come from his repeated failures at business ventures in 2008 or failing health.

One of his business ventures was setting up a movie production company and producing a movie called “Icing” but filming was aborted in May this year due to lack of sponsors and dispute between production staff. Some speculate that it was due to his wife Jung Sun Hee’s statement in April which was indirectly linked by netizens to the mad cow protests, leading to a torrent of abuse directed at the couple. It subsequently led to Jung Sun Hee being suspended and Ahn Jae Hwan’s business to suffer, eventually leading to bankruptcy.

He had actually left home a month ago with his whereabouts unknown and wondered around before apparently killing himself. Eye-witnesses reportedly saw his car parked in the same location without moving for the past two weeks and the body was already in a decomposition state when discovered.

A note was left behind where Ahn Jae Hwan expressed his love for his wife while two burnt charcoal briquettes were found which probably contributed to his death. His wife Jung Sun Hee fainted upon receiving the news this morning and was admitted to hospital. She later revealed that she was on the phone with Ahn Jae Hwan about 20 days ago and it became the last known moment when he was still alive. What a depressing and gloomy 2008.

I actually have no idea about him at all except him married Jang Sun Hee last year. I really like Jang Sun Hee, she's so funny on Heroine six and other talk shows and variety shows. She must have been affected by this unfortunate fate. I really hope that she can recover quickly.

For those netizens who indirectly caused this incident.... are you guys happy now????

Sneak Peek Of Boa's American Debut!

No more doubts, BoA is well on her way towards an American debut. BoA has been collaborating with Hip Hop choreographer "Misha Gabriel". The dancers who will be featured in BoA's first US Music Video includes the talented Kenny Wormald, Mickael Riccio and Trent Dickens (Who are all part of Misha Gabriel's dance team) . There's no official announcement on where the video was shot but rumors are that it was partially shot in Seoul (End of August) and partially shot in New York.

First US Single Rumor
According to rumors, BoA's first US single will be premiered on September 10th during the "Best of Asia, Bring on America" press conference. The title of the song is said to be "I'm gonna eat you up" It is also rumored that BoA's CD will feature 13 new English songs. It's even been said that she's currently living in a "Corporate Apartment" somewhere in the town of Westwood, Los Angeles. However, these may simply just be rumors. Full details about her album will be released on September 10th.

SunYe of Wonder Girls and Jo Kwon of 2AM have been best friends since JYP’s training center, which was 8 years ago. Jo Kwon, in his interview right after 2am’s debut performance, did not forget to mention Sunye when the reporter asked him “who he was thinking about at the moment” while he was turning on the waterworks.

This two singers are both the same age but SunYe is called “Noona” of this relationship. Jo Kwon joked around saying “when we were younger I got ‘beat up’ quite frequently by Sunye, who always kept me in line.”

Some fans are expecting a relationship between this two.

Big Bang Wins Again For Haru Haru

This week SBS Inkigayo is full of superstars and special stages which bring so many colors into the world of Kpop music scene. But, I still think this 500th episode of Inkigayo is so Big Bang bias. Not that I'm complaining by the way. It's their time to shine since they are in the midst of promoting the 3rd mini album Stand Up.

Besides winning their 3rd mutizen for Haru Haru, the audience was entertained with Seungri's collaboration with other idol groups for the Wonder Boys performance in what I see as a parody of SNSD's Girls' Generation and Wonder Girls's So Hot.

Before the starts of the 'Big Bang Special' performances, an advertisement by Big Bang who Say No No to smoking was shown and hopefully they didn't smoke in real life as they would be the perfect role model for the no smoking campaign.


On top of that, they performed Haru Haru in a green theme outfits this time and together with Um Jung Hwa, they performed Tell Me by Jinusean. They did Tell Me performance back in their first concert in 2006 with Jinusean before. If I have to compare, I prefer their performance with Jinusean although Um Jung Hwa is the female voice in that song. The collaboration with Um Jung Hwa was refreshing though, with the Big Bang members just having fun on stage. We can see that Um Jung Hwa was having a lot of fun too.

GD was also featured in Um Jung Hwa's DISCO performance singing the 2nd version of the song which was only released online.

SBS Special Stage - Kara & Hyori

This is another special stage I was waiting for. Kara and Hyori collaborated today for the SBS Inkigayo 500th Special episode. But, Hyori only appear during the OK dance bridge. It was such a short collaboration that when Kara was performing U-Go Girl, I thought Hyori was not gonna appear at all. Kara did ok with the performance as their voice doesn't really suit the song. The dance was cute though, they did it really well.

Wonder Boys comprising of 2AM's Jo Kwon, Big Bang's Seungri, Shinee's Taemin and two Super Junior members, Shindong and Sungmin finally show off their feminine side during today special stage performance in SBS Inkigayo 500th Special episode. You definitely don't want to miss this performance where the boys wear pinks and dance like genuine girls.

Their voices when they perform Wonder Girls's So Hot does remind me of that gayish male version of So Hot I used to download. Creepy...

The members from different male idol groups will come together to perform So Nyeo Shi Dae’s ‘Girls’ Generation’ and WonderGirls‘ ‘So Hot’.

On the 500th special episode of SBS Inkigayo on 7th September, Big Bang’s SeungRi, Super Junior’s ShinDong, SHINee’s TaeMin and 2AM’s Jo Kwon etc will present themselves as the ‘Wonder Boys’ on stage, transforming into male version of So Nyeo Shi Dae and WonderGirls.

On that day, there will also be the special stages by Hyori and ‘2nd generation Fin.K.L‘ KARA with ‘U-Go-Girl’, Big Bang and Um Jung Hwa with ‘Tell Me’, WonderGirls SunYe and Jo Kwon with a duet. So Nyeo Shi Dae who are now resting before their next album will also perform ShinHwa’s ‘T.O.P’.

MC Eun Ji Won will also transformed into the character ‘Ae Soonie’ for Mighty Mouth’s ‘Energy’ special performance.

On the other hand, on that same day will be the goodbye stage for Super Junior and also the teaser video for Dong Bang Shin Ki’s comeback will be revealed.

Super Junior M Set To Release New MV

China's most in demand boy band finally has a new project.

After the the expanded promotions for U, Super Junior M finally announced they will be releasing a new promotional MV, 迷 (Me).

According to the members, they filmed 3 Music Videos in one day including U and Me, therefore many Behind the Scenes caps of Me has been leaked onto Baidu but it was not until now that SM finally announced the upcoming release of Me.

However, no date has been set for the release.

Super Junior M was originally scheduled to perform Me Live for the first time on September 16th during the Asia Night Concert but their appearances has been canceled for the night. This sudden change of plans currently makes fans assume they will be performing Me for the first time during the 18th Qing Dao Beer Festival Ceremony instead, which will be on the 19th of this month.

Indie rocker EZ Hyoung shows off his rainbow "SPECTRUM"

Indie rocker EZ Hyoung comes back after 2 years with his 2nd album "SPECTRUM." His title song is "I Need Your Love" - a slow, alternative rock song that showcases his amazing vocals. It is a song of trying to recapture one's love. The lyrics are beautiful and the song is on par with some of the best American Indie bands.

EZ Hyoung boasts some stellar music ability by writing, composing and producing all the songs in his album. He took 2 years of meticulous planning to produce this 2nd album. He was originally known for his collaboration with Toy.

This is yet another great example of Korea's rich, underground rock scene that unfortunately still remains invisible to mainstream audiences.

FT Island visits Egypt!

FT Island, who recently made a comeback, doesn't know how to cool down even in Egypt. (haha...literal translation).

FT Island members Choi Jong Hoon and Lee Hong Ki left for Egypt on a 5 night 6 day trip for the Mnet program "Field World Action." They were confronted by fangirls in Egypt that pestered them for the contact numbers. Eventually FT Island members handed them their manager's number.

Choi Jong Hoon looks like an Arab king with the red scarf around his head. But they're not quite like the ancient pharoahs. At least they're not mummies, right?

This episode will air on September 5.

Younha makes powerful comeback!

Younha is out to re-energize the dull Kpop scene by infusing it with modern rock, pop-rock and electronca. She made a comeback on Mnet, performing two of her songs from her latest 2nd album "Someday". She performed "Memory", a duet with Epik High's Tablo. This calm electronica song was written, composed and featured by Tablo. Younha also performed her title song "Telepathy", a signature pop-rock piece that really makes the stage electric with her clear-cut vocals.

But I've got to say that I like Younha's rock song "Someday", which she performed for her comeback on SBS Inkigayo on August 31.

Younha also achieved the "impossible" by officially surpassing Big Bang's album sales record to take 1st place. Congrats!
