Re: LEE HYORI's OFF THE RECORD - EP 7
I actually watched this episode I felt really sad for her. What happened was that she wanted to go to a baseball game with her friends so she got VIP tickets. But on that day, Kim Yun Ah, Korea's Olympic figure skater, came out to pitch the first ball. Hyori was excited because she was excited to see Yun-Ah for the first time so she was clapping for her.
After the game, a reporter wrote a nasty article article saying that Hyori was supposed to make the first pitch but was pushed aside by Yun-Ah and that Hyori was no longer popular. Of course, this wasn't true, but it did have some basis; however, it was taken too far. What really happened was that Hyori was asked if she wanted to come to a game and make the first pitch. She declined the offer, saying that she didn't want to pitch and only wanted to go and watch the game, which is exactly what she did. THerefore, she wasn't pushed over by Kim Yun-Ah. So Hyori was crying at night because she felt indignant about the erroneous article.

The good thing is that the reporter who wrote the article made an apology after being threatened with a lawsuit.

Oh thanks Soyboy .. such a life saver you are ^^...
I know that it hurts .. that's what i feel about nasty untrue stuff they write about me on the forums and the blog sometimes .. there is a JPOP forum that they used to come to my blog a lot .. old days .. they would link to each article and by following the link i could read their craps about me .. i remember some day got to me so bad ... that i decided to write them something .... i was seriously RED in the face .. i was so mad that couldn't even open an account in their forum .. my hands was so shaky making mistakes trying so many times to register .. that the forum froze my IP address!
i really feel her .. but oh well ..
that's the price she pays for being a public figure~!

I agree with you. Sure, the press wrote bad things about her. But I doubt it's the first time or gonna be the last. In that case was she crying every time there are articles that portrayed her negatively? Seriously I doubt that. It seems quite fake to cry when she know the camera is recording her (and not the first time too!). She's already been in the biz world for how long? She should have been used to it by now. But probably she's quite in emotional turmoil nowadays and have become more sensitive than before. And she's probably lonely too. All I can say toughen up girl! What won't kill you will only make you stronger.

why are there such people who would talk nonsense about others? i mean, i think the reporter should have made sure what really happened before writing anything.. even if celebrities are considered public figures, i think they deserve to be respected because they are humans too.. being a celebrity doesn't mean you just have to take and absorb everything that others say about you.. of course hyori was hurt because the article is not true at all.. it's just right that the reporter made an apology after that.. hope he learned his lesson..
